Pricing

Direct Disposal Service £1,995.00 plus third party costs.
Being a member of the Society of Allied and Independent Funeral Directors (SAIF), we are able to offer a service to cover the arrangements necessary for a very basic cremation or burial service. This will include the provision of a hearse, necessary staff. An additional £120 is charged where six bearers are required. Our basic coffin and local collection of the deceased within normal working hours is also included. Hygienic Embalming Treatment and viewing in our chapels of rest is not included. We are unable to handle donations on your behalf. The hearse will travel directly to the Crematorium or Cemetery to meet mourners.

Essential third party costs:
Doctors’ fees (By law, two doctors must confirm the cause of death before a cremation can go ahead. If the coroner is involved, this is not necessary): £164
Mortlake Crematorium: £610 (9am or 9.30am is £365)

Non-essential third party costs:
Statutory Church of England / Roman Catholic fee: £195 | Independent Celebrant: £250
Organist (at Mortlake Crematorium): £120
Flowers: £120 (estimated)
Service sheets x 50 (up to 16 pages including 5 colour photos on standard white or cream card): £222

Total (approximately): £2,524.00

Our traditional funeral option price can vary depending on personal requirements such as limousines where required, and flowers or newspaper announcements. We strongly advise you to discuss your personal requirements with us to enable an accurate quotation to be given.

Professional Service Charge £2,570.00 plus third party costs.
•Providing a full advisory service both before and after the funeral.
•Transfer of the deceased into our care (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, excluding UK bank and public holidays).
•Care of the deceased prior to the funeral, including ‘Hygienic Embalming Treatment’ (if desired) and dressing as instructed.
•Viewing in our chapels of rest (during working hours – by appointment).
•Liaising with and making all necessary external payments on your behalf to Doctors, Officiants and other authorities as necessary.
•Preparation and distribution of all the relevant documentation in order that the funeral may proceed in accordance with the law.
•Placing newspaper announcements on your behalf (additional newspaper charges apply).
•Handling donations on your behalf.
•Provision of a hearse, the Funeral Director and four pall bearers on the day of the funeral. An additional £120 is charged where six bearers are required.
•A proportion of our overhead expenses for arranging the funeral in accordance with your instructions.

• Limousines at £300 each
• Any additional services required
• Third party costs

Newspaper announcements (if required) – The Daily Telegraph & The Times are approximately £350 each = £700 (estimated).

Total (approximately): £3,984.00

Terms: Payment to be made in full 48 hours before the date of the funeral. Funeral accounts take precedence over Grant of Probate and banks will settle them directly upon presentation of the Funeral Director’s invoice. Interest charged at 0.1% per day on outstanding accounts. If passed for collection, charges incurred will be added to the account.

Disbursements / Third Party Costs

This refers to the fees that we pay on your behalf and will include the fees for any celebrant, the church or funeral venue, the cemetery or churchyard fees, cremation fees, newspaper announcements and flowers.
